Workshop and Warehouse Building of State Water Supply, Langenau

The building embedded in a green surrounding of the company grounds. A rectangular flat roof box with steel construction and exposed concrete cladding houses offices and technical rooms. Parapet with 1, 50m height made of prefabricated concrete, a horizontal glazed band with opening panels underline the impression of a floating architecture with white Eternit cladding. Blue aluminium lamellas shade the glazed first floor. Construction: the Eternit plates are fixed by a steel support system on the insulated steel cassettes. The exposed concrete walls are two-layer, the roof is made of trapezoidal sheeting and the insulation is covered by follies. The blue columns and the main girder of the steel frame work in the interior area are filled with large-scale concrete blocks. The technical equipment is visible. Great emphasis was placed on the robustness and functionality. As a result of the glass band and the two roof lights the interior area is provided with optimal lighting.
